Classic vintage cars gather at Beaulieu motor museum, Beaulieu, Hampshire. Various shots of vintage cars and motorcycles throughout. M/S Green Ford two seater passes camera, approaching Beaulieu Abbey . Shot of entrance as car stops at gates. Driver shows pass to door keeper. Inside Abbey grounds, pan along long row of vintage cars. M/S vintage car, red 1899 Daimler, backed into space. Sunbeam Motor Cycle Club Rally. Row of old motorcycles. C/U lamp being polished. Belt drive being adjusted. Radiator of Ford with club badges on bumper; elderly man inspects them. C/U lamp and hooter. Captain Cecil Burney with hearing aid, bending over engine, looks at 1901 Dart motor cycle engine. M/S coupe car. C/U steering wheel of 1903 De Dion Bouton, pan up to show Lord Montagu, who then drives off. He stops, gets out and opens radiator , C/U engine running . M/S vintage car , Clement Talbot, driven by Charles Meisl, driven through gardens. M/S motor cycle parade starts. M/S parade ground, Abbey buildings in background, vintage car driven left to right. GV. Lord Montagu driving towards camera in a 1902 De Dion Bouton and he swerves off the road. SCU. Lord Montagu gets out of car and starts to run. SV. Lord Montagu running towards camera and stops at a post with a light on top. CU. Lord Montagu presses the alarm button and the light on top starts flashing 'This button, when pressed, automatically informs police and ambulance that there has been an accident'. CU. The button. Pan up to the flashing light. CU. The flashing light. SV. From left to right, the inventors Mr Derek Warren and Mr Ronald Atkinson talking to Lord Montagu. CU. Pan, three men talking. GV. Pan showing another warning system which would go down the middle of the motorway. It has a trip wire which automatically starts horns and lights. Camera pans to the horns and lights, mounting. GV. Lord Montagu drives his De Dion into the trip wire. The horns start and the lights start flashing. CU. Flashing lights. SV. Lord Montagu in the De Dion. Army vehicles are demonstrated before an audience of military men. Solent, Hampshire. Several shots of a Royal Air Force Transport Command plane landing at a display ground before an audience of military officers; large bouncy containers are rolled off the plane; commentator says they hold petrol. A Land rover is driven off the plane. A helicopter is seen carrying supplies and a field gun suspended below it; troops board a helicopter while the officers watch; the helicopter takes off. Supplies are dropped to the ground by parachute. Several shots of a hovercraft moving over the tarmac. Landing craft is seen on the water; a floating dock hits the beach and tanks, tractors and trucks disembark. Numerous vehicles drive up onto the beach including an amphibious DUKW craft. Several shots of a hovercraft skimming across the water and up onto the beach.
