🎬British Pathé – Boy Scouts build stables and hut for army near Winchester. Title reads: "HANDY BOY SCOUTS build huts and stables for Kitchener's Army near Winchester". Winchester, Hampshire. Pan on scene of boys working on long building with frame near completion, some of the boys are up on top, others on the ground. Boys pushing a small cart along a track. MS boys loading pipes onto it, then running as they push it back. The Scouts put up pieces of corrugated metal (to be walls of the building?). Then they lift what looks like 2 half-cylinders side by side and put these onto a long frame of an incomplete building so that they form 2 long troughs about chest-high, probably for the stable. Construction, volunteers, war work, World War One homefront activity
