    Footage of British army on maneuvers in Hampshire. Item title reads - British Army Manoeuvres. 50,000 troops take part in "Great War of 1925" between Mercia-Force - v. Wessex-Mobility. Somewhere in Hampshire. Intertitle - 'the opening day.....mud and continuous rain made conditions that almost rivalled Flanders!' M/S as the soldiers walk through a town. M/S as they walk along on a muddy road. M/S as a rope is attached to a pole outside a shop next to a carriage. M/S of camouflaged tanks at the side of the road, other soldiers ride through on horses. Intertitle - '"We are staying on a farm."' M/S as the camera pans across the barn with thatch coming off, soldiers stand in front with mugs of tea. Intertitle - 'Signals ...... the army's "nerves."' M/S as a man rides along with a wire on a pole, men hammer and pull out a pole, they put a long stick in the ground. M/S as they attach something to a tree, wires run along the road to a cart in front. Intertitle - 'The ever welcome rum ration!' M/S of one soldier with a big bottle of rum, he pours it out into the glasses for the soldiers
